| My phone was stolen on Friday afternoon. My "boss" treats me like shit, and when he actually pays me, he thinks it justifies treating me twice as worse. Margot is doing very very well. Ozzie is still at the fucking farm because Dan is being a jackass. Nutcracker starts in like 2 weeks. Only 3 more Sleepy Hollow shows. I went to a Halloween party Friday night and saw my friend's boyfriend rap with his band. We missed the cattle drive because Dan is an asshole. Tomorrow is my 19th birthday. I really want Richie to buy a farm where I can move to. My horses, too. I got my carriage drivers' license. | | |
| Last night was completely random. I went to Jen's and she dyed my hair burgundy and cut it. And then she styled it, and dyed her own hair and we had a so-co and cran toast to it. Then I borrowed a shirt and some height increasing shoes, and we went around the corner to The River Shannon on Armitage and had another toast. Within 5 minutes we were picked up by two guys whom we proceeded to talk to for about two hours. They didnt believe that jen danced and I rode horses "for a living." The two of them were both financial consultants who hated their jobs completely, and were only 25. I asked one of them what he always wanted to be as a child and he couldnt really answer me. It's really sad- there are so many young people out there- dreamless, ambitionless, and not enjoying what they do. I tend to get peeved at myself for being unmotivated, but- hell, I'm training horses and making a little money, and for the most part I enjoy everyday of my life. Granted, I still live at home and am not 25, but Jen felt the same way. She IS 25 and she gets by on using her artistic talents.
So, anyway, it was interesting. Jen's really big on Carpe Diem, and being single, she wanted to see this guy's apartment, so we walked over there and went on an adventure. Eric turned out to be a republican. lol. The other guy that I was talking to was actually incredibly nice, but despite our long conversation I had to tell him that I had a boyfriend before 2am. After checking out all of eric's dvds (jens a movie fanatic) and his whole apartment, including the roof view, we went back to jen's at 3:30 and crashed.
So that's that. And my hair is INCREDIBLE.
| We started The Legend of Sleepy Hollow on Saturday. I play Katrina and my costume is awesome. This is actually a cool show- or it will be in a couple weeks lol. Anyone who wants to come see it just let me know I'll get you cheap tickets.
Margot is learning how to be lunged w side reins and relax. She's been free jumping, too, and she looks fantastic. No hunter horse here! She's definitly a cross country jumper- fast and flashy and takes care of her body over those fences like a pro.
Ozzie seems sound. I missed riding him so much this last month. He feels fantastic. I'm taking him to the Sandwich High School rodeo on October 2. Lots of hot teenage cowboys- how exciting! lol. I think Jen and I are going to do an act together. The Russians are going, too, to do trick riding.
Cattle Drive in a month!
| Kirsten- what's your cold stone schedule??
This weekend was fantastic! Richie, Jen, and myself, decided on Friday that we were going to drive to South Dakota to ride with Josh and his crew. We packed the car, including turqoise chaps and english saddles (for me and jen) by early evening. We made it to Canby, MN at 4am sat morning, slept in the car until 730 and then drove 10 minutes to the border to meet Josh, his grandparents, brother, and cousins. It was heaven saturday and sunday, and ironically, having taken richie's stick shift mazda, one of the cheapest weekends ever. I rode Josh's Quarter Horse, Dusty, for every ride, and it was a blast. this horse is awesome- hes western, but so light and soft and all he does is piaffe constantly. And I jumped EVERYTHING in sight. That was hysterical because last month when we were up there for the big trail ride (up to 300 ppl as opposed to this rides under 100 ppl), every time I jumped ppl were impressed, or josh's friends just laughed at me. but this trip I had at least 4 of the group jumping right after me! And I even got josh;s cousin, Kyle, to ride dusty engish and take a mini dressage lesson. LOL priceless. It was fantastic. Good music, good food, good drinks, good people, good "other things" and gooood horses. " I've come to the conclusion this weekend that I really like pickles, really really like fire, and really really really like horses." lol I have really good friends. I love them. And am very lucky. Next month: CATTLE DRIVE!
P.S. I saw The Constant Gardener. It was PHENOMENAL P.S.2 I FINALLY read The Da Vinci Code. (in 24 hours). That was equally incredible. P.S.3 Does anyone know a really good leather repair place in the city? I have an awesome pair of purple fringe chaps that need new zippers and i want it done WELL. I have no idea where to go.
P.S.4 EVERY weekend in the last 2 months. Keith Urban got it perfect. and it's simply lovely:
Gonna kick off my shoes And run in bare feet Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends And feed my soul where the blacktop ends
I'm lookin' down the barrel of Friday night Ridin' on a river of freeway lights Goodbye city I'm country bound 'Til Monday rolls around
Gonna kick off my shoes And run in bare feet Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends And feed my soul where the blacktop ends
Workin' in the grind is an uphill road Punchin' that clock and carryin' that load I bust it all week and then I'm free The weekend belongs to me
Gonna kick off my shoes And run in bare feet Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends And feed my soul where the blacktop ends
Give me some fresh air give me that farm Give me some time with you in my arms Far away from the hustle and the pressure and the noise
Gonna kick off my shoes And run in bare feet Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet Goin' back to the well gonna visit old friends And feed my soul, you betcha

| For some reason I cannot leave comments on other people's sites. but... Emily, I know I wasn't really around this summer and I went to a few parties but you weren't at them and that was sad. nothins new really. How is working at hueys? we really need to chill one time when you're home. Renee, I am home. lol. I sleep all day. Ride horses all night. And go to the farm on the weekends. The life for me. hahaha. I've been around the US a bit with my horse, but I'm still living in Chicago. no school right now either. Trevor, I love them both lol. Oz is my man. And Margot will be my jumping project. And one day I plan to breed her.
So... I stopped updating because every time I tried to say something I knew I was leaving a lot out and I just got frusterated lol. But all I know is that I really just want to move to the country. I want to have a lot of horses and ride everyday and marry a cowboy. Own a farm, go trail riding, jump fallen trees, go on cattle drives, drive a big truck, go camping all the time, listen to country music and sleep under the stars. I'm going to be a hick. A liberal hick. But a hick none-the-less. I'm going to go to rodeos and make a big bonfire at least twice a week. I'm going to be really happy. Even happier than I am now. I'm not sure where my money will come from. I'm not sure if I'll ever get bored and wish i was in school. But that's ok because thats really truely what I want. I don't belong in Chicago. Dont belong in school. I belong with the horses. in the country.
P.S. BEST song right now- Neal McCoy- billys got his beer goggles on
